Composing a research report on a relevant social issue EN10SS-IVe-2.3

An outline helps you organize your ideas, avoid repetition, and estimate the lenght of your research paper. Note the use of letters and numerals, and the observance of correct indention of entries.

Review the following guidelines in writing a helpful outline.
1. Capitalize the first letter of every entry.
2. Keep your entries short and specific.
3. Indent the detail that supports the main idea.
4. An idea cannot have only one detail to support it. 
An "A" must be followed by a "B"; 
number 1 must be followed by a number 2.5. 
Entries must be similar in grammatical structure.

Example:
I. ________________ main idea, paragraph 1
   A. ____________ a supporting detail, paragraph 1
   B. ____________ another supporting detail, paragraph 1

II. _______________ main idea, paragraph 2
   A. ____________ a supporting detail, paragraph 2
      1. ________ an example of the above detail
      2. ________ another example
   B. ___________ another supporting detail, paragraph 2

III. ______________ main idea, paragraph 3
